Neuronova announces a European chip to bring AI

into every sensor: evaluation kits for the H1

Marconi processor are available to order now.

  • Working silicon in hand: 13,000 chips delivered from a full-mask run, designed entirely in Italy on proprietary IP and manufactured in Europe.

  • Voice activity detection at under one microwatt: based on public data, one of the lowest power consumptions ever demonstrated on silicon by a commercial AI processor.

  • Evaluation kits are available to order now and ship in the coming weeks; a global industry leader has already placed a paid order for more than 100 chips.

  • Software updates will unlock new features and pre-trained models on an ongoing basis.

MILAN, Italy, October 26, 2026 — Neuronova, the Italian semiconductor company working to bring AI into every sensor, today announced that it has received 13,000 H1 Marconi chips, its fully analog neuromorphic processor. The chips come from a full-mask production run on a 180 nm European process. The chips are functional, and evaluation kits are available to order now and will ship to

customers and partners in the coming weeks in 4 countries.

H1 Marconi can map multiple neural networks for any type of sensor, such as microphones, inertial measurement units (IMUs) or biosignal sensors. Take voice activity detection, the task of recognizing when someone is speaking: H1 Marconi runs it at under one microwatt end to end, front-end, neural network core and GPIO output included. H1 is one of the lowest-power AI processors ever built.

Rather than running AI on conventional digital hardware, it replicates the structures of the human brain, the most efficient computing system in existence, directly in silicon. The result: Neuronova’s artificial neurons consume as little energy as biological ones.

At this level of power consumption, AI can run inside the sensor itself, even in the smallest battery-powered devices. This is what physical AI needs: artificial intelligence at the edge that perceives the real world and acts on it. It opens the door to robots whose senses are always on, able to work safely alongside people; medical devices such as hearing aids that distinguish speech from noise while barely touching the battery; and sensors spread across infrastructures, space and

IoT that, without relying on connectivity or battery replacement, detect anomalies locally and in real time.

H1 Marconi was designed in Italy on Neuronova’s proprietary IP and is manufactured in France.

One global industry leader, which remains unnamed, has already placed a paid order for more than 100 chips. More chips will ship worldwide through the evaluation kit, enabling development of a wide range of applications. Neuronova’s software development kit (SDK) is already in use in more than six countries.

“Having working silicon in hand is the milestone that turns our platform into a product ready for industrialization. This new silicon follows the release of our SDK, rolled out in several batches over the past months, which companies and research centers have used to develop AI models for applications ranging from robotics to biosignal analysis. We are delighted to see how enthusiastically people have started building on our platform. With this silicon, they can start

integrating their applications into prototypes and products,” said Alessandro Milozzi, CEO and Co-Founder of Neuronova.

Starting in the coming weeks, Neuronova will release software updates to customers and partners, unlocking new features on an ongoing basis. The updates will also include new pre-trained models and software tools to make technology integration seamless and eliminate barriers to adoption and

use.

Companies that want to evaluate H1 Marconi can order an evaluation kit through Neuronova’s evaluation program for a full plug-and-play testing platform: https://jet-judge-601.notion.site/36f71c4bb78a8027aaead93675f0f85a
